Synopsis The Jewish Americans (2008, 120 X 3, DigiBeta) is a three-night documentary that explores 350 years of Jewish American history. Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker David Grubin and narrated by actor Liev Schreiber, the program tells a story of great achievement despite great odds. From the first settlement in the 17th century to the present, the six-hour series is a journey in time. While the story of Jewish life in America is emblematic of the American
immigrant story, it is also a story of how a people overcame discrimination
and eventually created some of the most remarkable accomplishments in
American history, arts, commerce, science and academia.
